Bengali Women's Focus Group

Report - 30 June 2014

We worked with Southwark Council’s engagement team to visit a Bengali Women’s Group at the Rockingham Community Centre, to explore engagement opportunities to understand the issues this community faces when accessing health and social care services

The key issues arising from this were

  • a need for interpretation and more sensitive communication

  • better support for those with long-term conditions
  • non-medication treatments for mental illness;
  • and ways to feedback on care experiences.
